 TOMATO SAUCE


Ingredients:

  • Ripe tomatoes - 2 kg (sliced or chopped)
  • Kashmir red chilli powder - 100 gm
  • Red chilli powder - 400 gm
  • Sugar - 300gm
  • Lime juice - 5 tbsp (or) vinegar - 5 tbsp
  • Olive oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Boil tomatoes in 3 to 4 cups of water to which little salt and 1 tsp of olive oil is added.Cook for 10 to 25 minutes or until it gets thickened. Put through a sieve .

Mix in the rest of the ingredients and cook for another 10 minutes.

Cool and use as desired.
